Day 15, White Water Rafting on Deschutes, Maupin, OR

Infinite farmland in Dufur, Oregon

Cheer on!
Our boat!
Antsy for a hearty meal after the rafting.

Sunset on the way back.

The day didn't start right -- by 10 am, we were still chewing on the bland "complimentary continental breakfast" offered by the motel; and by 11 am, the kids, including Yifang, were still watching a silly game show on TV. I was checking emails, and had no clue how we were going to spend the day.
Finally Yifang got us in the car, and started driving, to the direction of White Salmon, a place that neither of us know much about. We got turned around because of the road construction, while I was still flipping through all the brochures of the area. Suddenly a line jumped at me, "Deschutes River White-Water Rafting". That's the river that Phil ran when he was little. (the journal ends here due to exhaustion. Sorry!)
