Twelve years ago when I stopped over the Seattle Airport enroute to China, I was really amazed by the beautiful bird-eye view of the city when the plane took off -- snowed capped mountains and forests, logs floating in the glistering streams. I wrote a postcard to Yifang, telling him that we had to come back here to visit.
We have finally come back today, with the kids, for a three-week camping trip. It's almost too good to be true.
The flight went really smooth from 9 in the morning till 5 in the afternoon. Only the car rental company slowed us down by about 2 hours. However, we are back on the road by 9 pm (Boston time), driving a shining white Grand Cherokee in the gorgeous glow of the Seattle sun.
