2013, Day 1: Getting on the Road Again

This is only part of the luggage.

It's been a while since our last journey to the west. Today we are getting ready for another adventure - a two-week camping trip covering five national parks in the mid-west! We find ourselves in the middle of a luggage jungle. Still need to figure out how to get to the airport with the kids and luggage.

Shuangzi and Yan came to rescue. They drove Yifang and all the luggage to the airport, while the kids and I took the subway. The plan worked out really well! 
After a two-hour flight delay, everything went fairly smooth, esp. with the meet-up of Yue, flying fresh from Shanghai, enroute Hawaii. A happy reunion at Denver Airport at midnight local time (2 am in Boston). Maya took the picture for us. 

It was already 2 am in Denver when we checked in our hotel rooms. 

It's a good start.
